Never use a ratchet strap for tyres remember my mate over a year ago nearly chopped his
fingers off. :( (both hands cut wide open)
I did remember that story, but thort he did summat stupid.
You'll have to enlighten me with a bit more detail as to why it is such a stupid idea if you are not an eejit and take your time, good care and wise precautions.
Sorry i'm so thick!:(

Well 10 to 6 and all's well.
No rain so so much for the forecasts!
Did a shed load of "mowing" and now ache quite a bit.
Was V hot.
Wifey cleaned the front doors and entrance to within an inch of its life, so now the place looks a bit respeckable to any visitor.
Rissotto for dins, (again, Wifey is really into these now.)
Have a good evening folks!:):):):)
So glad that you are re-united with the "other-place". :)

Evening folks:).

Another cracking day here:).

Got some more outside work done, in between cooling off periods:D.
Having a problem keeping the chlorine level up in the pool, the chlorinator does not seem to be putting out:(, it is 8-9years(that probably means 10+) old and they do have a life/hrs. Anyway new 1 on its way from France. It’s an upgraded model, has 2 extra plates and looks easier to clean as not encased in plastic, should be here Friday;);).

The L322 is sounding poorly, but not showing anything on the smart box, so that’s going over the pit for a good coat of looking at tomorrow:):).

The P38 might be the daily for a couple of days:D.

us too, though Wifey, whose glass is always half empty, can only see the work that needs to be done after our 7 months absence. She'll work like stink to get it up together, (which means I will too) and then hopefully relax.
At least she is planning stuff, like meals out and maybe some jazz.
Hope the brass players are wearing masks!;)
Dogs all loving it of course, so much more room to run around on.:)

I thort you said your water was soft, so why the prob with the chlorinator, do you think?
Ours has run for 13 years with no probs and is as good as the day it was all rigged up, but we have super soft water.
And I do hope we are talking about the same thing, Salt water pool? Thing that generates the chlor?

Mind you I expect yours may have done more hours than ours as we only started coming over for 6 months in the year in 2015, and the last two years haven't been able to do that, even.

He tried to loosen the ratchet when it had popped on the bead & it snapped back into the lock position
cause it was under pressure. Tyre fitting should be done by trained peeps like errrrr me lol
Although ive had a few near misses over the years and one of my bosses tried to tell me to
fix some doggy tyres. (w@nker) He told me to fix a worn tyre on a low loader plus it had been run flat.
I refused...
his words were fix it or I'll be sorry mmmm ok I repaired it as he wanted an popped it on the bead then fitted it to the inside on the trailer (twin wheels)
Inflated it but I stood to the side & I got to 135psi into it an the lorry owner was smirking his silly little
face off, he was standing about 6ft in front of it watching me inflate it but I kept going with it & it blew up until it exploded he ended up on his ar$e shrapnel & dust everywhere what a bang haha
Area manager got called & I told him he made me fix an illegal tyre he got sacked an I got promoted. :D:D

....you see I would have left the ratchet strap on until the bead popped, then left it on again until I had deflated it, then only removed it once enough pressure was off it for it to no longer be a danger.
But then what do I know.

Love the story of the exploding tyre.:D:D:D:D:D

Haha got a few belters to tell at some point :D If you know what your doing you dont need
ratchet straps, I once sealed a super single with snow at the side of the M8 :D
No need to remove wheels just change the tyre in situ ;)

No quite hard water, although it’s salt (cos we add it) it still has all the other ingredients of hard water think the unit is on the limit for volume so with the up graded extra plates, hope for another 10+ years.
Maybe starting with super soft water means you don’t get the deposits on the plates we get.

Still worth it not having to faff about with chemicals and daily testing (it’s a bloody chore as have been doing it for a week now). The water is so much nicer than a full on chlorine pool:D.

Totally agree and we were never going to easily be able to feck about with chemicals seeing as how we have to leave it to itself for so long each year.
We come over, couple of sacks of salt in to replace the salt lost due to rainfall and off we go!
But yes, super soft water really feckin helps. And it does taste so fab, just a faint hint of salt, no more.
We have 45 cu ms and I seem to remember you saying yours was twice the volume so it may be that your generator has been working super hard. Also it is hotter where you are so again you would have to have it on more than we do.
What mechanism do you have to swap the polarity?

Anyhoo last night I came in an the misses said my neebs next door was there china anniversary??
(never heard of that)
an they wanted to have a wee drink aye right ffs 2 bottles of rum later so got up late.

Lovely weather today still on the roof we have 700 odd slates on :):)
