Gods I hate cars, speshly when I int in one. M27 was a car park onna way home, break down near Fareham an accident over Pompey. Narrow lanes while they make that stretch into a Smart Motorway (an oxymoron if ever I heard one) meant filtering on me Motybike was nigh on impossible.
Chap died recently, big thinker but cant remember his name, said something like..
"Traffic congestion issues would easily be relieved if peeps left their headlights on overnight.."
Go on, sounds like worth a try
