After having watched a couple of Antiques Roadshows and then catching a glimpse of Opal Hunters, wifey has measured an opal in a brooch she inherited from her ma, and checked on tinternet.
Turns out the fecker is worth a heck of a lot of dosh. Far more than she originally thought. (Things like this just don't happen to us normally.)
Good thing she don't wear it and won't until she has had a safety chain made for it.
