Yep, until we can scarcely breathe! still don't seem to work, much.:mad:
The problem is that she is one of those peeps who, if bit, the bite swells up, itches like feck and then 24 hours later starts itching again.
So if we go out at night, like to a concert or something, she has to dress very carefully, i.e. no visible flesh and what has to be visible is covered in Deet or whatever it is. She also has a bracelet with a stone on it that she soaks in some fluid. Which apparently works fairly well. Her body heat heats it up etc etc.

We also use one of these.

Its always full when we empty it. It was actually for the horse but it works for humans too:D

If it is good it looks like we could well use it.
Linky please! (Asks nicely!)
Never seen anything like it.

The H Trap | The famous horsefly trap | Horsefly Trap

We have it for the horse flies but it gets loads of midges in the early evening while its still warm. worth a look:)

Ours is close to the pool & paddock as we get lots of horse flies and normal flies that like a bite of humans, when you are in a pool and a hot body pops up they can see it pretty quick:eek:. Not gonna get rid of all but it certainly helps steer them in another direction:D.

Not a wallet buster either:D

If so, it's worth getting one. As you say, not a wallet buster!
Cheers mate!

Yep we have the large with the stand. Need to make sure you set it in full sun so it gets hotter than "you" As I say it wont get the midges once its cooled but worth a shot:).
Plus it will get the wasps as I know Mrs Steamer is not happy with them either;) Oh and Bees dont go to it:D.

Good re the wasps.
It really wasn't fun last time she got stung! Using an Epipen on her wasn't the best fun I've ever had, then you have to wait for 15 minutes. If it gets worse you have to stick her with the second one then drive her to A&E. Luckily it wasn't near her throat, but that was a long 15 mins!!
We love our bees so good news about them too.
Thanks ever so for the heads up.
I'll get shopping!:):):):)
