Well we do have very good neighbours and one, Pascal a local handy man, has already been in and, as far as we know, taken at least one cut. Like he did last year. Not yet but we will ramp it up after this place goes on the market. I have seen a few places but they are further north than my Mrs wants to go.R U ny neerer finding a noo place to live?
We have seriously considered moving up North, or "back" up north for me.
We both love the Dales and I'd move there in the blink of an eye. Maybe it's because I'm a northerner by birth but I always feel happier up there inasmuch as the peeps up there are more ready to take you as you are.
The only worry my mrs has is not being too far from a hospital

But then the Dales ain't cheap either. Dunno how many bungalows with garaging you could find there for £200K.
At the end of the day it depends on what you are looking for. There are other nice areas "oop north". Some cheaper than others.

Peeps say there are all sorts of houses, they are wrong.
There are only two sorts: the ones you don't want and the ones you can't afford!
That was my experience anyway over about 3 house purchases when younger!
