The bloke in the shop flogged me the new pooter on the strength of saying "It's Windows 10". Well it is, but only cos he or someone upgraded it from Windows 7.
Here is a review of it, and I cannot believe I paid £220 for it secondhand albeit upgraded to Windows 10. Ont net they are only going for about £130 max, here are the specs and a revierw https://www.cnet.com/reviews/acer-aspire-5336-review/

Compared to my Samsung notebook NP550P5CL https://www.itproportal.com/reviews/laptops-pcs/samsung-series-5-np550p5c-review/

Reckon I got stung a bit.
Anyway, the long and the short of it is I don't do either gaming or video editing, so I think that is a good thing!!
Eye can see why yer ****ed as the spec is lower but yer have to factor in the labour and running a company, to the price. If yer int gottid someone to do it then yer stuck.

We could swop the replacement machines hard drive for a biggerer one if yer want.

If yer looking for used phooters int future... Look on the dell outlet for recon machines. O'fishal dell site. Not the others that recon dell machines anorl. Go for dell themselves.

Chap at wuk has put an eggspensive gaming pc in a repair shop. Short story is they can't get the parts at reasonable price and prove the fault. So they're going to change the engine, gearbox and transfer box to others that will fit and work together. Only 1 of 3 items taken oat is faulty. They're keeping the bits they take out.

Soop and boiled spuds to nite. All int one bowl. Crisps fer afters. Rice pud after that. Apple pie ter finish.

Int done much today. Moved some wud ont me roof rack. Started first time and never missed a beat. Dependable and trust worthy. Mans best feind. Yer can't go wring when buying a Freelander.

Not really, I just got imposed on them through marriage. :D
Here's a story.
Ex-colleague or mine married a Welsh girl. They got on like a house on fire, had two kids and lived round here. Both teachers.
She sadly died within a year of retirement.
After her funeral etc we took him away to our place in France for a holiday, during which we learned her family never really forgave him for "taking their daughter away" although it was only a few hours away, the Gower FFS!
Anyway, he goes back and we spend the rest of the summer there.
After we get back I go and see him. While he was away the Welsh family bought, had engraved and erected a tombstone for her. "Beloved daughter of dah di dah, mother to dah di dah."
No mention of him whatsoever.

So I guess he was imposed on them as well.:(:(:(

I only had one Welsh girlfriend. We got on very well, I met all her family and stayed a few times with them in Abertillery.
They accepted me and made me feel part of the family. So I think nothing but good of the Welsh.
And the Scots and the Irish.
Maybe my mate, a Scouser, got on their tits!;););)

Like that!
When they were originally going to take the hard drive out i told them i wanted all the bits from both pooters back as i wanted to play with it all and see if I could work out how it all went together.
As for the price, I see what you are getting at.
Normally I would take it to a local fixing up place, but they charge £45 an hour just to look at it, i.e. minimum fee is £45.
Anyway, went in to sort the phone thing out and they did that well and fairly. So overall not too p!ssed off, just feel I have been a lickle bit diddled.
Thanks for the info re Dell. At least that is a name I recognise.;)

Another lovely sunny morning - even the big 'uns gone out. They had forecast wind and lightning overnight but got nothing although it wouldn't surprise me if we had a few showers later in the day.
Major step forward with the caravan saga today as the electronic 'boxes' are due to be delivered.:)

To the workers - we're already half way through the working week.:)

Morning All :D
Another lovely day. :)
Gym later, but first some coffee & a catchup.
Despite all my hard work (for others as well as myself) it seems "someone isn't happy".
Apparently I give them none of my time and we never do things together and we are drifting-apart/leading separate lives!
Would you like to come and join the Gym, we can go together? - NO.
Would you like me to make you a trike so you can come cycling with me? - NO.
So what do you want? I want us to spend more time together.
So does this mean I too have to watch endless TV programmes that I have absolutely no interest in?
If I do, can I actually sit next to you on the same sofa so we can be "together"? - NO I don't like you sitting next to me.
I'm beginning to lose the will to live.:(
