Morning All :D
Iron-Grey skies here and rain all night and just waiting to get going again. :(
1st Cup of coffee is gone, 2nd started. :)
What is it with adult children? Now the other one has popped-up with "Come & help me sort MY GARDEN out?" :(
Where's MY time?
Enjoy your day folks! :D
Learn to say 'no'. They have to understand that you have your own things to do and that they have priority. IF you have any time left towards the end of the summer, you will offer a couple of hours help over a few days - but that's it.

I am resting today after a crap week sorting new kitchen n bathroom taps for sis in law. Was supposed to be a simple swap the taps out and maybe a few fibre washers on the existing connections. Nope. Its turned into a right mare. Existing isolation valves and stop cock pooped and leaking badly, poorly installed and badly placed add-ons obstructing new stuff, isolation valve from loft to hot water tank cattle trucked ------. Five trips to scroo fix so far and not the last :(. Resume the slog tomorrow. And next weeks outlook - dottirs power shower pump pipework is leaking badly. More plumbering to do.

It ain't so bad. I actually enjoy doing it. Its the sort of job which a tradesman would rack up a small fortune with all the unexpected problems. So I'm saving the sis in law a few bob. And she does reward me with whiskey n stuff :D. I didn't get much of a rest, decided to grass seed some patches in the grounds which I prepped last week. Resident blackbird was hopping round me feet picking up any escaped wormies, spuggies are filling up with stray seeds, wood pigeons have landed for their share..

It turned out to be quite cloudy today ;)

An old mate of mine (65) has just posted on FB that he has been taken in to the local Gen. Hosp. With suspected blood clots after receiving the AZ jab.
Waiting to hear if its after dose #1 or dose #2.
Got my "top-up" scheduled for next Friday. o_O

Edit: He got dose #2 19 days ago and the clots have developed since then.
Well now you can tell him you know someone else with the same problem.
ME!
(Apparently can happen up to 28 days after the jab.)
Hope his aren't too dangerous or painful. Tell him I am 66 and send him my best wishes.

My leg is still painful but it isn't getting any worse. I think i will start doing a bit of light walking on it.
AND, whoopee do, i have finally read the leaflet that came with the medication and it says that the consumption of alcohol has NO effect on the action of the drug. So the nurse-practitioner cow can stick it where the sun don't shine! Back on the booze for me!!!:):):):):)

Here's an idea, tell him you'll do it via Zoom. Let him walk around the garding showing you the problems and you can give him advice, then when he is doing the work he can point his pooter at it and you can say, "Not like that, do it like this!"

Sadly, they both live in this town < 10 mins away :(
Having given a lot of help to #2 son, it is difficult to refuse #3 son. :(
However, this garden is a pocket-garden in comparison and no fences to erect or Koi ponds to dismantle. :)
I would still prefer it if they all stood on their own 2 feet. :)
Alternatively pay him to do it himself.
(Now that is really desperate!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:)
Or say "You're not as hopeless as your brother, you can do it I have faith in you" Sibling rivalry and all!

Quite enjoy it myself. Working at my own, non-profit making pace (I couldn't earn a living doing it, I'd starve within a week). Bought two new plumbering tools this week which I should have bought 40 years ago . Right tools for the job and all that ------. SWMBO has just stuck a bowl full of freshly popped corn in front of me, whiskey in the jar and second half of me footy about to kick off so bye for now :)
