I managed to sneak off to my little workshop this afternoon.
Some playing with the sparkle-stick and the lathe resulted in some progress on her weathervane. :)

Heavnin' All.

Well that was boring... but it pays a wage. ;)

The funny thing is that now I've got a job one of the companies I've applied to previously have decided that they'd like to interview me. It's in IT again but at a much lower level so although the pay would be lower than my previous IT position, it would be several grand higher than the job I started today and I'm fairly sure it would be an easy job. I've already spoken to me new boss today and asked him for Thursday morning off so I can attend the interview and he's OK with it (not that he had a choice!) :)

One good outcome from todays boring warehouse work was that I got to do a delivery job later this afternoon which I quite enjoyed which re-affirms my desire to do driving for a living.

Me garage door hinges are bolted to me doors and screwed to me posts with pozidrive screws. To stop someone from taking the screws oat eye was going to drill into the screw heads to stop them from being turnable with a screwdriver. Then paint over them to stop potential rust. Can yer fink of a betterer solution to make them more secure?
You can buy screws which are cross cut and can only be done up, not undone.
I'll see if I can find a link.
