Managed to get the terrace paving underway, was raining this morning but got out there late this afternoon to get a couple of slabs down.
I'm getting a bit excited, the mill I agreed to purchase with the money from my motorcycle sale is finally on a pallet and on it's way! It's only been 3 months
Like thatI managed to sneak off to my little workshop this afternoon.
Some playing with the sparkle-stick and the lathe resulted in some progress on her weathervane.

It’s all a bit mad max! Instead of trying to weld the bottom section in upside down and horribly I made a u section that plates over my fresh side wall. Extra strength and spans over the verticals too which can’t be a bad thing. It’s a nice fit. Will melt it on soon!

Well that was boring... but it pays a wage.
The funny thing is that now I've got a job one of the companies I've applied to previously have decided that they'd like to interview me. It's in IT again but at a much lower level so although the pay would be lower than my previous IT position, it would be several grand higher than the job I started today and I'm fairly sure it would be an easy job. I've already spoken to me new boss today and asked him for Thursday morning off so I can attend the interview and he's OK with it (not that he had a choice!)
One good outcome from todays boring warehouse work was that I got to do a delivery job later this afternoon which I quite enjoyed which re-affirms my desire to do driving for a living.

You can buy screws which are cross cut and can only be done up, not undone.
