Morning All :D
I was rudely awakened by noise & lights. Not a police raid but Mrs. C being the first up for a change.
I always manage to perform this operation in the dark, but no, not her. The slapstick needs applying y'see.
I must have been a good boy this year, Santa is bringing my new Lathe early on the 23rd. Now I have to clear a space for it in the mess garage workbench.:)
I fitted my sons replacement induction hob last night and on the way back from there I stupidly went in to Aldi to see if I could do any of the required shopping.
The place was heaving and the shelves were stripped bare in some areas. Thanks Boris for yelling "NO NEED TO PANIC SHOP" several times, on live TV.
Anyway, you all have a lovely day. :D

Ahhhh..... well, oops!
The truck with my new mini-GUNlathe has turned up a day early.
I am not finished preparing the area to receive this new toy yet, but I managed to get the guys to stick the crate on a dolly and I have wheeled it into the tiny little workshop.
The crate is providing a stand for an oscillating fan that I am hoping will help to dry out this first coat of paint on the wall, and varnish on the bench.
I hope to be able to take a peek inside the crate tomorrow and my lad will pop round to help me lift it up onto the bench (it weighs 56Kg so a bit too heavy and unwieldy for a 1 man lift.
I have no well-defined projects for this new toy yet....so best put my thinking cap on. :D

Leave beer on table in the plastic rings & use a straw.;)
I have heard it said that those placcy rings around beer should always have all the rings cut before you throw them away as, if not, there is a chance that birds that "use" dumps may suffer. Wound round their legs or necks or something.
Have no idea. Must have heard it off a tree hugger, or Chris feckin Packham.;)

Good ol' Santa!:):):)

 what did you do?
I saw the farmer this morning at 10am and the tree was gone by 1pm. He has a biomass boiler so has all the huge tree-cutting equipment to go with feeding it! It did look funny going along the lane to the farm leading the way on the front of a machine and still looking like a full tree but without the big trunk! I wonder if the missing dog toys and the yellow hair slide will be in one of the nests????:D:D:D
