A gloomy day 'ere but quite mild and it won't be long before the rain comes.:(
Sadly, the threat of the magpie gang has caused the wee one to want not to go and sleep outside to have his early morning kip.:(:(:( He is genuinely scared of them and cannot get his pal to get out of bed before 9am to go out and protect him.:)

Don't get me started on Magpies. Little b'stards have a field day every week when people put their bin bags out. Looks like downtown L.A. afterwards.

They 'did' mine last week - first time for me! They have suddenly gone into overdrive and are causing havoc everywhere. I live in the country so the binmen did clear away the mess before it scattered too far. This week the bag will be put into a bin with a locked-down lid and I will tie that to the fence. What I'd really like to do is set up an armed ambush and shoot the lot.:mad::mad:

I would love to ambush the little gits, but I don't think the people at the bus top next to where I put the bags would be well pleased with a 280lb grizzly adams looking bloke coming at them tooled up and yelling his head off

we have 2 wheelie bins ,waste and recyclables, better than the bags we used to have if wildlife didnt split the bags the bin men did

I've another house I'm fixing up a short distance across town, it's in another borough so has wheelie bins, the boundary actually runs halfway down the road so one side of the road has wheelie bins and the other side has blue bags.
I swear all the people that showed no aptitude at school were handed to the local council to take on.

bin bags ? i thought everywhere was wheelie bins now
You thought wrong.:) Blue ones for recycling and black ones for 'rubbish'. We get given 2 rolls of black ones and if you use 'em all before next year then you buy your own. Blue ones we get four rolls of them but can go and pick up extra ones if you run out. They are collected on alternative weeks in a little truck but are limited to putting 2 black bags only out but there is no limit on the blue ones. Over long holiday periods, like Christmas, we get some leeway - but not much!

Just been ont phone to me broadband provider to reduce the telephone line and broadband package to the minimum tariffs to try and save some more each month.
I currently pay £57 / month for a telephone line and 40Mbit broadband connection so hopefully I should be able to reduce that to about £25 a month.

Every little helps ;)
