Ok, off to bed.
Sleep tite folks!
Sleep tite folks!
Best wishes to those of you who have to get up early in the morning to go to work
Very wise, and I think you have done enough for them this year!Morning All
Definitely "taters" out there this morning.
But with the cold it is clear, dry and bright.
First coffee has slid down all too quickly.
I hope to be rescuing the motor from the LR Indie later today and no doubt parting with a princely sum.
Xmas tree went up yesterday.
A minimalist Xmas here this year as we have refused to host the kids & families as its a bit too much for us.
Have a great day everyone.

Wifey's crumbly friends aren't any of them seeing their kids and grandkids this Xmas. Think quite a few oldies are talking the long view now.
Happy to see them, but NOT to wait on them hand & foot as in previous years.Very wise, and I think you have done enough for them this year!

How do you get your jalopy registered for a pension?Hurrah! The old jalopy has been serviced (minor service) and the petrol filling fault presumably fixed (rubber mid-hose replaced).
Total cost from the Indie is £369 all in so that is one of this months pensions accounted for.
Are you being stalked?i can see a shadow!!
Sounds great, and agree totally with your thinking! The rows and grumpy sulks put us off years ago hence we normally go away for the Xmas, visiting one daughter on the way there or back, plus an old mate of mine. See tothers at New Year.Happy to see them, but NOT to wait on them hand & foot as in previous years.
This year its just me-n-her and the 91YO MIL for Xmas dinner.
I intend to have the fire roaring in the burner and some schmaltzy Xmas songs on the juke-box.
A few after dinner ports and a film and then take the old lady back home (1.5 miles away).
That would be 2 shadowsAre you being stalked?
On account of her age.How do you get your jalopy registered for a pension?

No probably not. The only reason we will be having turkey is because she's there. We would rather have a fillet steak. Will there be much meat on a 91 year old? Probably better sticking to turkey like everyone else
