Morning All :D
Came down this morning to find that one of my faux shutters had tumbled into the room out of the window-frame. :(
That's the first time that it has happened, so I will look to see if/how I can improve the fixing of them.
Got her paper, but she has gone out herself too for visits to chemists etc.
Shopping later, maybe some trike stuff too.
Have a great day everyone. :D

Gone flat yet have they?
Hope so!

Boiler all sorted for another year ...

Popped into town to the bank, as their 'savings' account now pays shite, I've opened an account with the Coventry ... they can move the money over there every month for me ...
Nice one.
I am so lazy with money, I just think they all give sh!te interest, but wifey moves hers around in stocks and shares, she even has shares in a distillery, which has benefits.
Wish I could be rsed.
Grandson's xmas present? A "bit coin wallet". He's following in his dad's foot steps and he managed to retire in his late 40s.:mad::mad:

Effternin u lot....

Got rained off today its been hammering down since I left this mornin :(
Took the misses to town for a few things still plenty people about but we
are still in level 2. Hope it stays that way 15 miles up the road are on lock
down, nowt to stop them coming here to go to the pubs ect

Oh dear, :( maybe that had something to do with how they fell out then.
Perhaps it's time to think of making them again but this time out of ally or Perspex or summat.
Wood is lovely, but if it is covered up so you can't see the grain?
Is all this cos you want to avoid curtains? Or roller blinds?
Avoiding both curtains and/or blinds. Having nothing there during daylight hours allows so much more light into the room.
To be fair, the 3mm birch-ply was the cheapest option I could find, and prior to covering they were perfectly flat. Whatever I use for an "inset" panel will have to have a friction-grip edging to ensure it stays put.
The warpage of the wooden panel isn't helping, but I am not out of all remedial options yet. ;)
At worst, it has cost me c.£50 so far to find out whether this can be made to work or not. The effect of them we really liked, the placement/removal is a little more of a "faff" than pulling curtains, BUT the vista W/O curtains is so much better.
I shall persevere. :D
