My Boys CH is all fixed and working again. Simple job; everyone's happy. :)
Cost me very little (<£20) and the grandson's bedroom is heated once more. :)
Woodstain/painted the wooden casings of our new upstairs bay window too (2nd coat), should be all it needs, but maybe a clear satin coat on top for a smoother finish.
Struggling a bit on the home keep-fit, but I will keep doing a little every day.
After yesterday's "Step-ups" (75 on the bad (left) leg and 50 on the good (right)) I woke this morning to the feeling that someone had been booting me up the bum all night, very bruised feeling in the glutes indeed.
I have been looking more at calisthenics for fitness as it requires less equipment; but I may (at my age) lack the basic level of flexibility. We shall see. :D
Cost YOU very little?
I should feckin hope so!;););)c;)

Have you not done decking before?
The trick for me is getting around the warped boards, cos I always buy stuff years before I use it! And the last lot I did i had brought the boards from he UK about 5 or 6 years before, stored them outside under a tarp, on a covered patio, south facing. and there was absolutely none to spare so even the most banana shaped ones HAD to go in. I made a special tool to twist them straight enough until I could get a screw or two in to hold them in position, and also used those special cup washers with a knurled outer edge that stop the screw pulling through. They are a godsend. If I wanted equal sized and patterned ones to replace dodgy ones, i'd a had to go to Toulouse. A three hour return journey.
I learned how to get around the sideways curves and fitting them so that the gaps all looked OK. It is a bit of an art and requires a tiny bit of maths if you want to avoid splitting a board lengthways to make it all fit. but then if you HAVE done it before you'll know all this!
Think I'd better turn in!
Sleep tight folks!:):):):)

Yup Ive done decking, I meant I will scorch it to see what it looks like. For the gaps I use a carpenters
folding rule (plastic yellow thingy) tis perfect for this. :):)
Screws oh no fk that.....nail gun all the way :D:D
