Some new bits arrived from SJS Cycles this morning.

2 QR axles and 2 Sturmey Archer Brake levers (esp. for drum brakes and with parking brake buttons).
I put the wheels on the trike and the levers & cables on a spare handlebar. I adjusted things so that the parking brakes came on and the trike was able to stand upright on its own.
I then sat on the bike and pulled the brakes on hard and tried to push the bike over from side to side.
My experience was that the resistance against toppling was high and the tyre had to lose traction with the ground for the swing arms to move.
This is very logical because you are in fact unloading one wheel while increasing the load on the other.

Just completed the last lawn-mowing of 2020. :D
SWMBO is pleased.:)
Managed to use up all that was in the mowers tank (bonus).
We do all seem to be doing the same things.
Did that Saturday, had to keep on cutting previously cut area, on lower setting, to use up the fuel, then off to our neighbours so they can keep it safely locked away in their basement so the scrotes don't nick it from our shed while we are away!:)

Happy Monday folks:)

Just relised I hadn't popped in to say hi for a while.
Been busy:)
Got most of the porch retiled today, get the last up tomorrow and may even get some cementing done. Its funny when I looked at it I said " I will knock that out in 2 days easy" I would probably have done it in a day in my yoof but gave myself a little extra time. probably gonna be more like 3 1/2 - 4 days now in reality. But then I don't put in the 12hr days like I used too:D, and i probably drink more coffee too;).

Yes strange. M cut most of ours today too and ran out of petrol:), this last couple of weeks has given some rain and dewy mornings so the grass has turned back to green again and put on its last growth spurt.
Need more fuel to finish but hey ho:).

...and during my closing up of the pool spent ages lying with the top of my bald head in our freezing pool trying to fit a new flap to the skimmer! Looked on line and realised I was trying to fit it the wrong way round and prolly upside down. DuuuuuHHHHH!
now have to decide if i can be rsed to undo the cover and try again!
On the mower. I always end up with a surplus of fuel in the jerrycan and although I always use it to top up wifey's car I still seem to have yet more left over. I then get forced to pour it away on a piece of rough land as the last thing I want is for scrotes to break into our shed and use it to arsonize our house or other property! :(:(:(

Good evening from avonmouth.
Oh what a day.
Arrived this morning to find lorry not connected to trailer(greasy & oily job)
Then find they had not replaced my indicator lens.
Get to collection point & digger driver knocks the front bar & rips the welded part of the roof off. Secure this so makes it easy to refit later.
Get to delivery point to find my moving floor does not work. Wait for mechanic to arrive & fix. Then Unload the goods.
continue to Bristol to have roof fixed. Only to find the next collection point has closed.
So in a 12hr day I have only worked 5hrs.

well that’s first day I have had multiple problems.
But on the plus side I have 5 new tyres(nice knowing the tyre fitter) & an mot

Sad day just found out one of the whales died & has been washed up at Ardentinny bay :(
The mod has put off all operations for another week in case the other whales
are still around.
Can't "like" this, always sad when this happens. Do they think it was caused by the stress of the time they were stuck in the ..whatever it was. loch? Or was it a previous illness which made them all stay around anyway?
spect they don't know yet. Post mortem to come maybe.
Not funny at all.:(:(:(
