Turns out it was a right cock up on the communications front. So he'll take the blades and pass them on to his mate via his wife next tues, then he'll get them back to his mate next tues and i'll be able to pick em up the following day! the 23rd!Well got up, lateish, nice sunny day, realised it was the day the sharpener mush said to bring the dog trimmer blades to him so his mates wife, from Toulouse could take them back with her get them sharpened, etc etc.
Got to his place in town down the mountain "Fermeture exceptionnelle" from 11:00 to 14:00. So fri ggin missed him. All the way back up to our place, will ring him at 14:00 prolly to be told "too late now, missus friend has gone back".
This should really be in "what grinds your gears".
Hmmmmmmmm
"Fermeture exceptionnelle" is one sign that makes us all explode. Cos no one ever warns you of it. "Unusual closing" doesn't really cover it!!!!
Thanks for that.@Stanleysteamer I hope your Mrs is betterer in the morning and it doesn't turn out to be anything too serious.
You can avoid that by resigning before they do.At this rate I will be the only one left!!!!
It's most definitely a thoughtYou can avoid that by resigning before they do.
Wifey waited till i had gone out to have a fall while gardening.
She always does this.
So I gets back to find her with her wrist in a bag of frozen peas, and her last two fingers of same hand not wanting to work.
Says she stretched to lop a branch off a tree "as far away as one i had just done" lopped it, lost her balance which isn't difficult as she has a paralysed foot, so fell down awkwardly and trapped her right hand under her thigh as she did so!
Doesn't want to go to orspicle.
So we'll see how she is tomoz!
End of creative activities for the day.
But if I know my luck I'll end up doing the gardening she was doing, under her supervision.
And I so love gardening (not).
Those shelves will never get put up at this rate!
Aye, but only if there is a current MOT on the vehicle. I tried it today. Makes sense anorl. One can sign up to receive an email or text message from the man at the ministry of motoring eggscellance to remind them of their vehicles pending mot:

Thank you everyone, 48 candles this year
Sorry to hear of you good lady's misfortune. Thanks for that.
Falling for her is an occupational hazard cos to avoid it she'd have to metaphorically wrap herself in cotton wool. When out and about, shopping and that, she uses a stick but when at home or on our land, she doesn't and that is where the problem lies, if ground is uneven and you only have one leg that "feels" then moving around and doing stuff is bound to be problematic. Normally I try to stay close to her and keep an eye on her, but you cannot do that all the time. So it depends on what activity she is doing. If i think it is safe I just let her get on with it. I thought she was just trimming back bushes on a bank in front of the house, never knew she was going to be lopping off overhead branches. If so I'd a been there. She never told me. Maybe didn't even realise she was going to be doing it. But she went on and did it anyway.
9 times out of 10 she'd a got away with it.
It won't be too serious, but we'll wait until tomoz to see if she needs xrays etc. 73 yr olds don't bounce like 3 yr olds!
