Cloudy and a chill in the air very quiet even the birds must be having a lie in.
Few wee jobs to finish off at home today then the scaffold can come down, I do wonder
what else the misses has got planed for me. :rolleyes:o_O

We had every person from our street round our back last night, everyone had suppers from
the local pub & a few drinks. Great night it was. :D

I have to becareful what watches I wear, as I have a nickel allergy ...
So does wifey, all her jewellery has to be gold, silver or platinum. She is an expert at buying lots from an auction taking what she wants out of the bag then putting the rest back in!
Problem is she insists on taking all of her valuable stuff with her when we go on holiday!
But it does mean all her watches have to be like this too, or bizarrely, plastic. But then her skin gives off some acidy stuff which eats through plastic.
Wonder sometimes if she iss from the same planet!
She hardly ever wears a watch. Once retired nor do I often!:)

Today's foray to the House of Doom was a bit $h1t.
We burgled the pooh-pipe and added a new branch for the new bathroom layout.
Capped off the old pan connected branch (which had no "fall" on it ???) and relegated it to being the bath, shower and sink waste branch.
New branch picks up the toilet only.
Super amount of fall on that bad-boy. It's going to be "The Crapper Express" ;)
I am "done" for this week. :D
Had a quiet "chat" with my son to say it is time he made real efforts to get HIS family out of MY house and the "pain" of having a part-finished residence is HIS to bear NOT me and my Missus's.

He looked "shocked". (not good).

Sympathise.
Does he not have a garden he could camp in or stick a caravan on?
Just a thought!

You have to keep the pressure on, I don’t blame you.
Sit with him and discuss the next plan I.E kids rooms finished. No unsafe holes/wires.
Aslong as they have running water and a crapper. They are good to go:)

we had a crapper when we moved in ours:D (admittedly we didn’t have kids) our water we collected in 10L water bottles from the spring and I had to rig up a pump and some pipe:) the locals thought we were mad:eek: they weren’t wrong:D.

It is also surprising how much you change things once actually living in it, so not a bad thing if it’s not all finished.

It is looking good though:)

When we took our house off the builders in France, there was no heating, no cr@pper, no running water and no electric. And we went there at Easter with snow on the ground.
The night we arrived we dipped water out of the tank in the ground that catches it off the roof, for general washing, loo flushing etc (temporarily attached a loo pan with a flexible sh!t pipe), drank water from a few very large bottles we had bought, used torches etc until we went to bed on a mattress on the floor in all our clothes and sleeping bags.
Following day, Frida,yI connected a garden hose to the water main (full French pressure, twas like a fire hose) and bought a generator so we could have a small convector heater going, it wouldn't start, had to wait till Monday to take it back and get one that worked.
We underwent that until finally got the mains connected then used two washing up bowls, one for us one for washing up, a microwave, a toaster, a slow cook pot and a kettle. At least the water was heating up and the underfloor heating was working.
But we lived like that as we slowly got rooms ready. Downstairs loo first then utility and so on.
So Dan's son's house looks very inhabitable by comparison.
Admittedly we didn't have children, only dogs.
But it was that or rent gites all the time!

Looking forward to a lazy Sunday :)
Yesterday, anniversary day, the weather was clear and hot, about 32 int shade, 26 in pool and bubbly at 6 degrees! Perfick!

Cheers matey ;) yes a massive relief. :D:D
Ref the exhaust yes its an uprated one, no cat only one silencer at the rear what a difference driving
with a nice quiet throaty note instead of it sounding like a tank.
Ive only driven it to the garage & back, I was stuck behind a couple of cars all the way never got
a chance to take it through the gears.

I did have a couple of beers an a couple of rums Cheeeeeerrrrsssss :D:D
Lovely! Sounds essackerly like my 300tdi exhaust. You will notice it once you find an open road and pulling out at junctions and onto roundabouts gets easier! It is a nice noise in't it?!
