Cud yer maker cover to go over it to limit access fer big burds so the little ones get the feed? If yer still wont ter feed bigguns then they cud have a seperate pot. That way there's always sum food fer lil burds.

Some peeps make the roof very low, so fat fecks can't get it, but they may sit on the roof and hassle the little birds and it'll need t'be a bit see-thu, so they don't get ambushed by a prowling puddey fat ...

That idea had also occurred to me. I need to make it small-bird friendly. The pigeons and the crows do well enough already with bread and stale cat-food.
I will see what I can do to make it better for the littl'uns. My Goldfinch feeders arrived today. One feeder is already out there. I think I will make another pole to hang the feeders from.
We do get greenfinches and blue-tits in the garden. Even have a visiting Bobbin ;)
