Hi all,
First time posting on here so hello.
I've had an aged defender for some time now but I noticed a very good deal on a discovery td5 on Facebook (51 plate) so I picked it up. The thing hasn't been off road and is in immaculate condition I've driven it 50 miles today and all is ok however I'm wondering if these a bit of a traction control fault. When doing a many point turn on a muddy single road the abs light and traction control light came on along with a single chim (not hill decent or the handbrake) i immediately switched the car off and when I turned it back on the lights had gone. I tried putting it in a patch of mud and floored it and the traction control light came on so it must be working. I also tried an emergency brake and the abs light didnt show. Could just be one of those things or do you think there is a problem somewhere?

Many thanks

Might be worth checking the sensor cables are seated in their clips by the wheel hubs. That's the limit of my knowledge :p any pics of her?

This is the only one I have so far. I'm amazed such a car can be purchased for £1200. Makes me cringe at what I paid for the defender!

There might be some logged fault codes in the SLABS ECU which could point to the cause. You're going to need a compatible code reader to check.
