My 2003 has 17 inch as well. Only issues i have are that they are 235 s and they are bloody expensive, and that I drive a gaylanderer
Not sure if this is standard on a 2006 HSE Freelander. Any issues with this size of wheel? I have only just noticed

I like the 17" so much that I bought some extra ones off eBay so that I can have a winter set and a summer set.
I upgraded to 235/55 17 tyres which are as big as you can fit without having clearance problems with the front spring cups on the struts.
To fit wider you need spacers.

Likewise. Just out of interest what did you choose as the Winter tyre?
Good to know
My Winter tyres are Continental Conti4X4Contact 235/55 17 99V - brilliant in both deep snow and green lanes/light mud.
My Summer tyres are Continental ContiSportContact2 235/55 17 99W - a Mercedes-Benz size) - they stick to the road like magic - unbelievable cornering ability.
