Oddly enough, the water via the foam seems to be worse if I park it uphill. That foam has been on my to-do list a long while now!
Mine did that after I had done the pf lids but only when facing uphill like yours. It was the screw going into the top side just further towards the windscreen on the pf housing. You can see the nylon plug for that screw if you take the pf lid off. Water pools there, all around that screw head but parked level it doesn't.
A blob of non setting sealant fixed it.
I had also used all new ss screws around the scuttle and the leaky one was a tad too long and punched through the blind nylon plug which probably didn't help:rolleyes:

Thanks for the information

What sealant did you use? Can you post an image of all the screws you replaced and sealed.

Thanks Datatex, I will await your link/post for the piece we discussed

It took me a while to find the info as my computer died a while ago, I eventually found the receipt so here is what I use to replace the scuttle foam:-
3mm hole 5mm pitch 1mm thick round aluminium perforated mesh. part number 152312703422. I spray it satin black with a rattler can.
Supplier:- www.themeshcompany.com
If you would like photo's, PM me with an email address and you shall have them.

I used ordinary exterior grade clear silicon sealant.

Thanks
I have some instant gasket that I think might work.

What would cause the heater fans to stop working (given I've had water ingress) and it is an intermittent fault. I need them to dry out the interior but it's a vicious circle......lol

Many thanks

There is an electronic speed controller in the fan assembly which may be wet or it could be the connectors.

Thanks to both of you and I will look at both points.

To explain how wet......my adult kids and their partners call my p38 the swimming pool.

Dehumidifier will be going in once I have sorted all the leaks
definitely lift the front carpets and soak up as much as you can, the carpet tends to trap whats underneath

+1 on a dehumidifier. Otto always has one in white resting as we have an intermittent leak that appears to be from the trim strip on the roof just behind the windscreen.
We have a nanocom for the p38, but we're a bit south of Manchester. Might be able to pop up your way but probably not until next weekend at the earliest.
