But would you swap a new fangled defender for a well maintained original defender🧐 as a keeper.

Hell YES!

I'll never sell mine, they kind of etch themselves into the fabric of your life. Well mine has with me, ans now my son (who is 10) is getting completely obsessed by them! Just like I was with my Dad's series 2 v8 when I was his age! The new ones are just another lecky filled gizmo with no character like the oldies! 😊

If I had that kind of expendable income I can't say for sure that I wouldn't have one! 🫣
I can. The answer would be no! Not even for an immaculate Series 1
The sad thing is i don't think there is a cure for Justonemorelandy Syndrome 😔

No, because i'd never have bought i new Duffender in the first place. I'd just be happy with a proper one that only broke down within three miles from home once a year and only when the sun was shining but not too hot so you don't get too much of a sweat on walking home for help

I picked up a Zeus Series disc brake conversion kit last sunday for the 101. The guy had infected both of his daughters. One had a Series, the other a Defender. Poor girls. Both hopelessly beyond help! 😁

I have a family member like this. She takes the challenge of building LR products but then does not sell them.
The kids when they were young loved the fun, now they have their own kids heaters & comfy cars win every time
This also has disk brakes fitted. Also disk handbrake

Ah yes that trickle of cold sweat creeping down the back as you drive home. Will it or will it not that smell of fear that odd knocking sound on the passenger side or is it the rear😳
Like an Agatha Christie Murder on the Defender drive home workshop novel 🥺💥 a scream then silence..........
I look in the rear view mirror to be faced by a stowaway from Landyzone Prison eating into my wiring.

"But I'm not Michael", I cry in fear................... End of part one.

Oh I completely agree with you there, I wouldn't for series 1 either! 😂

But a nice original , completely factory fresh, brand spanking new 3 and half v8 110 county station wagon, I definitely would!! Some mega rich go for super cars or yachts, I'd go for Landy for sure!! 🙃
