Just wanna say that whilst I have never been a huge fan of our FL1, on Thursday we drove all the way to Munich for Oktoberfest, then back yesterday. I am massively impressed with it.

Both trips were about 17 hours straight and it didn't miss a beat. Yes it does use a fair amount of diesel at 85 and 6 gears would have been great, but I would even go as far as saying it was more comfortable than my Mazda 6 for the journey. It even had enough power so that I didn't have to change down even on big hills. Plus it was the only FL1 we saw in the whole of europe!

We even rolled over 100k miles on the way back :D

Oh, and don't drive to Munich, it is just too far!

Yeah - Munich is a long way non stop
which route did you take ?
On the way down we went near Stuttgart, then on the way back through the Netherlands and Belgium. No idea why the satnav did that!

Apparently Arnold Schwarzenegger was at Oktoberfest, gutted we didn't see him!

My boy was at Oktoberfest last week. He had a Contiki coach take him there though from London via Paris, Monaco, Florence, Rome, & Venice. The Emirates A380 dropped him home today - he's now in bed recuperating!

lol yeh, and his bags got back today!

He loved his trip and said Oktoberfest was absolutely fantastic. He's going to sell his 220 Turbo and hopefully we can get the Freelander I just got up and running and he'll be driving that. He can then save up and go back to Europe next year and do it all again :)
