Hi i'm new to the forum and Landrovers and could do with a bit of advice.

I've been offered a series 3 1984, thats what it says on the logbook anyway. However, it has a daihatsu diesel engine and a cut down range rover chassis with a defender body. It still retains the series 3 bulkhead.

Its still a project and hasnt been on the road for at least 7 years. What I want to know is whether i'll have any problems moting and insuring it as its so far from original. I dont fancy playing with SVA tests and Q plates, will I get away with just saying its a series 3 with a daihatsu engine?

any info would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck if you ave a smash in it then, The insurers will love that one. The only part of the car that relates to the log book is the front bulkhead
