Hi guys,

I have a discovery 4 TDV6 2010, as the title says, when driving the car first time in the morning or if left for circa 6 hours or more, if I don't floor it and let the engine warm up for a while, say a 5 minute drive and I then floor it, I get no smoke whatsoever, the car drives perfectly fine.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this because it's confusing the hell out of me?

Thanks in advance, Mantrid.

Cold engine, the ECU is likely compensating by 'over fuelling' (i'm guessing as I don't have a Ford Lion/TDV6 engine).

Thanks, I forgot to mention that the colour of the smoke is white/gray but persists in the air for a while until dispersed by the wind, regardless of outside temps.

I didn't know what overfueling was so I just googled it and on first review it looks like that would lead to black smoke coming out the exhaust but as stated, white/grey smoke?

It's the second symptom here, occurs only with cold egine:
