What a b**ch.

1m long breaker bar and it still won't shift.

Anyone any ideas.

No I don't have a scaffold pole

You ****. I actually got up to check the thread direction.

And yes I did undo the indent

Then you either need stronger arms/ a longer bar / a scaffold pole.Have you tried an extension piece, between the socket and breaker bar, sat on an axle stand to allow you to apply the torque to the nut without twisting the socket on the nut?

Cheers

Yup. tried that I'm getting about 15 degrees of curve on the bar before I run out of torque. I'm not small either.

I figure on the scaffold pole too. But not a scooby where i will get a good length of pole, stop snickering at the back, on a sunday.

Going to go and get my compressor tomorrow and see if the impact gun will get it

Pop over to Gravesend in Kent and I will give you a length of scaffold pole you can take away and play to your hearts content or I csan stick my 380nm gun on it

Get someone to give the nut a good clout with a hammer as you're trying to undo it. Often, the shock is enough to crack it.

If all else fails revert to 2lb ball pein and a good sharp cold chisel
If in doubt chop it out :D:rolleyes:

3/4 drive socket set and at least 4 ft of pipe on it and even then its bloody tight till you get on the move.
