Other option is to get a length of 4x2 timber, bore into end to insert breaker bar to a reasonable depth and use that in place of scaffold pole
 
That's an option but not oxy-a so I don't know if it will get hot enough.

A little one like this should do it.. ;)

3/4 breaker is the way to go.....half inch can let go and you can end up with physical damage - not recommended.
 
What a b**ch.

1m long breaker bar and it still won't shift.

No I don't have a scaffold pole
I went up my friendly Indy round the corner and got one of the lads to whip it off with the whizzy gun. Left them a tip and nipped it up enough to get home. They hammered it back up afterwards too. Saves a lot of effing about.
