Ok so after being idle for some 2 weeks I came back to find my Rangey's suspension wouldn't lift. The supension indicator on the dash shows its trying to achieve normal height with the flashing light continuous at the second from top position and the continuous light on the lowest position. The yellow suspension warning is showing on the dash.
Any ideas guys?..I'm told I need to reset the suspension but wouldn't know where to start is this something for a novice??

There is no air pressure, follow my "How to" to check compressor.

same problem as me...I can get pump to work from direct power feed but wont work from inside....you can download free software providing you have the correct cable but wammers has a guide on here..im up to the point where I have the software and lead but think something is wrong where my obd connector is.

Is the compressor running ? Your compressor if running could well be weak. needing a new piston and sleeve so it's not putting out enough air to fill the tank and the bags quickly enough. leave it running for about 4 minutes with the door or boot open

opening the door or trunk freezes the suspension, let the air tank fill, which may take a while if the compressor output is weak.

Or the diaphragm valve is leaking. He needs to do the checks in the "How to" that is why i wrote it.

Or I can supply the cable and software for the EAS along with RAVE on CD:D

Fecking at last , the penny has dropped:rolleyes:

OK thanks for the input guys, so now I checked the compressor housing which is vibrating so I have a running compressor. With the door open after about 10 minutes I tried to see whether I have any pressure, built up, unfortunately just a smidgen, enough to lift the rear about an inch. As there are no fault warnings on the dash and given the compressor is running would I be right in assuming the electrics must be OK and that I need to replace the diaphragm and piston seals in the compressor, or do I need to check for leaks elsewhere first? I did catch a couple of 'how to' on youtube by US Co. RSW Solutions which was quite helpful. Alas I haven't yet worked our how to read members' 'How to' resources on here yet, I clicked on your username but didn't find a link..guess I need to spend a little more time getting used to this site and how it works...(took me a while to find the 'new post' link earlier!!)

The how to section is at the top of the range rover page click on that then scroll down you will find it

Thanks Brian, I found the 'How to' section.. :) pretty damned impressive if I say so, I'm burning the midnight oil so will be spending my sunday under the bonnet along with my laptop.
G'night all!!!

You could put a location in your details. I've loaned a spare compressor out four or five times to prove faults and get the car mobile whilst the owner got the parts and rebuilt their compressors.

If the compressor is not making pressure, odds on it's because it's been overworked feeding leaks. How old are the air suspension bags?

Thanks all, well having driven the car the suspension does now lift to the correct driving position, albeit after some time, so this jobs on hold pending my engine trouble being sorted which is the next job on the critical path to getting my wonderful car back on the road, or indeed off road..so Im posting again following some AA patrol disgnostics..tbc...
