I thought Euro 4, 5 & 6 required the vehicle to be Type Approved in order to be ok for ULEZ.
No idea, but my P38 is Euro 3 and the CoC has a Type Approval Number on it.
It has robbed me of 6hp however. CoC says it has a maximum power of 136KW. That's 182hp, not the188hp advertised. Naughty Land Rover.

ULEZ is mad, win the lotto and buy a W12 Bentley Bentaga that does 8mpg in traffic and you can swan about in the ULEX zone to your hearts content day in day out but I'm not allowed a single trip in my old P38. Low emissions zones should require a tracker and be based on mileage and emissions.
IMO, they should be scrapped, LEZs I mean not Range Rovers, perish the thought.

Great news everyone. TFL contacted me today. My 2000 4.0 P38 is now ULEZ compliant.
Yeey!!
I've just checked the TFL checker and it's already updated.

Apparently my 4.0 V8 is "helping to improve air quality across London." TFLs words. Not mine.

So were the V5C & MOT test results sufficient ?

Unfortunately my V5 doesn't specify CO g/km or whatever the value is.

That is really good news it will help a lot of p38 owners:),
just not me as mine is the planet killing dozzel according to them, the fact that building a new replacement motor will produce more than me running it for the next ten years:rolleyes:

Well done that man, and I sold mine because it wasn't ulez and am struggling to get my L322 approved

This is what annoys me about the whole system. I carried out some random checks of other 4.0 Thor P38's and they still come up as non compliant. Cheeky since TFL know they are now compliant.
