Hey all,

The headlights on mine are looking a bit dull and sort of cloudy. I was just wondering if anyone knows a good product or technique that will smarten them up again :)?

Will.

Brasso , but what ever you use do a test on a small area first , brasso is less abrasive than Tcut :)

1200 and 1500 grit wet and dry with great care as well, metal polish is safer, but results are not always long lasting.

You can buy a clearcoat that you spray on, that is just for headlamp repairs... insurance approved bodyshops now use it...:)

Is there a coating on anyway?

Mine had the residual glue from headlight deflectors and a few scrapings and gunge remover sessions later I have what appears to be a ragged hole in a thin plastic coating on top of the perspex.
It still passed the MOT ok but he did say it had a strange but legal pattern.

I thought they were glass which can be replaced but if they are plastic you must not put over powered bulbs in which are illeagal anyway

Look on utube some vids on there about it, from the professional kits available to DIY methods. You basically cut the surface back then polish it with an electric mop, they come out better than new
