My '99 L Series is only just coming up to 100K miles but in our 4 years of ownership it has only had 4 problems .... me, ABS modulator, me and ABS modulator!
me 1 = not checking tyre pressures and blowing the transmission. me 2 = hearing impending doom with the engine so spending £500 getting belts with only 30K on them changed, but in actual fact there was nothing wrong in the first place.
So you never know, even with the mileage, there's a good chance if you fix the faults, you'll get many more reasonably problem free years out of it.
There again, it might not, but has it got much more depreciation left in it if you run it for another year or 2 to find out?
