The Last fill was around £110 and from that I got 405 miles, pretty much all the way through the red, not ideal for the pump, but in the interest of range ;) 2000 TD5 Auto

What do ya'll get from a Tank?

Just curious.

That's 21 an a bit mpg*, not bad for an auto by all accounts.

{* = guesstimation of £1.30/L for diesel}

£110 (£1.30/l) = 85L = 19G /405mls = 21.3mpg

My remapped manual would get about 450 around town, and about 600 highway miles out of a full tank, although that was taking it slow and steady with the lorries mostly.

Sorry about the anaraky equation lol

Have you had her remapped yet? I have heard that you can get better power and economy from a simple remap.

EGR Delete, CAT Delete and a stage 1 remap (generally around 250 quid) makes an absolute world of difference to power and a fair good impact on mpg.

360 miles doing 3 mile school runs mostly. Auto Td5, stupid mud tyres, loads of crap in the boot, big roof rack.
Did 600 miles on h/t tyres no roof rack, 55 mph cruise control all motorway.
The auto is pretty thirsty around town, but maybe not so bad for what it is.

Manual
Previous engine with mapped ecu about 480 a tank.
Current engine and standard tune. 400 a tank.
Mainly A and B roads
Standard tune seems to need a rev and a longer harder push on the fuel to noise pedal and drag the gear out a bit more and a bit more dead 1000 to 1800 revs

I've got a manual TD5 no EGR, no cat , and dynatwist stage one remap. Avon ranger tyres. With no roof rack and all motorway driving at 65-70mph across France easily 600miles to the tank. Calais to Chamoix on one tank which is 560 ish with a little to spare. I've got the Land Rover roof rack which saps about 10% and adds a lot of noise. I would also run the tyre a little on the hard side which helps. Does anyone know if an performance intercooler would help much ?

My Auto give a return of 420 per tank from full to fuel light coming on ,usually 84l running back and forwards to work which is around a 6 miles trip
but on a long run I can easily get 500 to a tank full
