My daily and business (builder) Series 2a did around 5k last year. Just looking at the figures for the ambulance running around for the last 2 weeks and 350 miles equates to 8k+.....might need to increase my mileage limit :suspicious:

does du nt it. :(

Would interested to see what a business user does a year. As it would be a daily and a business vehicle.

Maybe a tree surgeon.

I do around 12k a year in my van I'd love a 110 for work but it just wouldn't be right I don't think

if i drove mine daily i'd do 40k  and as bad as it is its tempting lol

use ours nearly every day so roughly do about 120 miles per week but I'm same as bump got not speedo cable!!! lol

About 10k a year, it's my one and only vehicle (unlike all you wealthy sods on here that can afford to run 2 vehicles ), never mind.... one day ;)

I am on course for about 15k.
In the three months I have owned it I have had the front prop go in a huge way, alternator belt and currently the steering box is weeping. Tho in that time it has had a full day at tong, a full day green laning and general abuse.
So 'touching wood' I am happy with it's reliability bearing in mind it's 20 years old....awaiting mot in jan tho

I dread to workout what miles a year I do at work tho lol

20k a year in my freelander. In the 18 months i have had it i have done more or less everything to it. But i did buy it as an MOT failure and i am now happy with what i have. Only one breakdown and that could have been avoided.

About 250 miles in my range rover if that. 120 of it was in one day. 5 breakdowns in the other 130 miles. As soon as it is fixed it will be for sale. Although i have been saying that for over 6 months and so it breaks without even leaving the drive

around 4k ish in mine but i only use it to go shops or to work when the weathers bad other wise I use my bike, most of the time.

Disco has done just over 6k since I bought it in August! Good job it's not a tidy low mileage example haha. That's what.....24,000 a year if I carry on, yikes

I've put 83,000 miles on my '93 RRC since buying it in August of 2010.

It was still working yesterday and hopefully it starts up today because I've got another 125 miles to put on the clock before the sun sets.

Anyone elses insurance ask for limited mileage, but not ask for the actual mileage itself, or is it just mine?
:(
been reading through this fred, and having a SWMBO`s car MOT`d reminded me that now the last 5 years MOT milages are also printed out on the paper version MOT.
Its not hard for Insurance companies to gather that Information
"If It needs too"
but then, "If" its driven with my permission by a self Insured driver - does that count ??
as the miles will still roll on, but not by me, or my son, or the swimbo, who are all down as insured/named drivers ??

like most, In my 5 years of ownership on me old disco, has shown roughly just under the agreed 8000 miles a year.
All non working miles, none travelling to work miles
(gave that up over 10 years ago)
just S, D & Pleasure
tis a pleasure to drive too :D

Most likely scenario: vehicle sustains damage, you claim on the insurance, the insurance company checks its MOT history.

Mine's only used occasionally (trips too long to cycle) so the mileage is quite low but the allowance is quite high because the discount for dropping it below 10k was peanuts.

agree, but as I pay the insurance on 3 cars and a scooter, plus I`m near 66 now,
I look for those peanut drops in prices....

tight asssed or just making my pension last longer, ??
or just thought - I must like paying for all those ****s who get caught without any insurance.... lol
