Help, im trying to remove the rear seats out of my rr to give a good clean and refurb, however i can not for the life of me undo the star shaped screw that holds them in place using the t30 screwdriver which fits perfect. Ive bent two screwdrivers trying so far.
Any advice welcome.

Try a T lever bar rather than a screw driver you have more leverage a soaking in proper penetrating fluid and as said a few short sharp light taps on its head to try and break a rust seal should do it .

Better with a T30 stub driven by socket and ratchet :)

rodntod,
i have the t30 stub, got told if i try with a socket and ratchet then i run the possability of shearing it off due to its age, 1998. then im in a world off poo. whats your thoughts.

If its going to shear therei is nothing you can do , you can drill and retap it if needbe or put a helicore in.

Give a good soak overnight with a decent penetrating spray (I recommend Plus Gas) and then use your socket.

Mine were a bit of an effort to get out, but some Plus Gas, a few taps with a mallet and a decent socket driver did the job.

can you see the threads from under the car? if so, spray ti there and as said, leave it over night. then spray again in the morning to make sure.
