I ripped my CB ariel off a few weeks ago in Morrisons car park, Festival Park, Stoke on Trent.
No height barrier on the way in but there's one on the way out.

You know what to do next time........ use the way in as the way out too!!!!

Good advice but as it's 200 miles from home and because we got clobbered for eleven effing quid on the M6 Toll road, the next time we go to see my parents it will be in the wife's Avensis.

Think your self lucky lol. The Saxon Centre in Christchurch, I clear the barrier by about four inches but then it would hit the ceiling going down the ramp. Had to back up and go out the in!

Standard disco is 1960mm to roof bars. Says so on the sun visor.
One thing to be mindfull off, I learnt this when transporting yachts, is that the barrier (or bridge clearance) is measured when installed, however the heights are rarely updated when resurfacing occurs.
Ripped a fly bridge off a 36" Broom cruiser many years ago. if that wasn't bad enough, i was transporting it back to the factory for repairs after it was struck by an oil tanker off the coast of Greece. To make matters worse the owner was following behind in a hire car and caught it on his bonnet.

Tried to get into a car park today and the height limit was 6ft 6ins. Caught the overhead barrier going in so had to reverse back out again.........the shame
Sure the Disco on standard tyres isn't 6' 6", may be wrong

A few years a go I when into a hotels underground carpark in Brighton, but when I came out two days later I found an AC trunking installed across the exit, just where the disco would rise up onto the exit ramp, I slowly moved forward... but the roof bars touched... by now had an audience... but easly sorted i let some air out of the tyres and on and out of the car park and to pump the tyres back up.
I won't be going back, but it was a good weekend

Traffic chaos in Truro city centre. Was caused by someone in a fender trying to exit a very busy car-park via the entrance. Cars were queuing to get into the car-park, when the fender driver forced the whole queue to reverse and allow him to exit against the "No Exit" signs and the arrows on the roadway.
There was much horn-blowing, shouting, abuse and bemusement.
What tw@t in County Hall decided to put a 6'6" height restriction on the exit, with no warning at the unrestricted entrance?
I aint losin me snorkle top and roof-lights fer no-one.
You couldn't make it up.

A few years ago I was in a local hospital multi story car park in my S111 on 31" tyres and fitted with a big full length roof rack. I got in OK but on the way out the Z exit barrier didn't go up far enough and I had to go up on the kerb to get round it. The problem was the extra height from being up on the kerb meant the roof rack didn't clear the fume extraction duct.

While on a family holiday a few years ago parked my D2 in a car park miles from the beach after just fitting under the heigh restriction. A few hours later I walked back alone to drive down and save everyone else the walk. Trouble was me alone in the car meant I didn't fit under the height restriction and left me stuck in the car park.

Manchester Airport...drove up the ludicrously narrow entrance to the 'Drop Off Area' with me, 3 passengers and their luggage in a standard Disco 1. Max headroom said 2m.
They got out and waddled off to their sun, sea, sand and syphillis ...
I hit the first overhead pillar i came to and had to let the tyres down so that i could get out.
