This is what a D1 owners handbook states:

Overall height (no roof bars) .................................. 1928 mm (76 in)
Overall height (open sunroof) ................................. 2005 mm (79 in)

So don't go anywhere where there is a 2M hight restriction with the sunroof open

My standard D1 with roof bars goes under 2M barrier at the local council tip, no probs.
The barrier may be lower than that stated therefore u may have a claim.

Think it's only over two metres tall with the sun roof open

[edit] didn't see the last reply

May be the tyres, nowt special just M+S BF Goodridge on back and copies on front.
Not goin back cause St Helens centre is a ****hole, cant find owt and cant get in car park:)

Standard disco is 1960mm to roof bars. Says so on the sun visor.

One thing to be mindfull off, I learnt this when transporting yachts, is that the barrier (or bridge clearance) is measured when installed, however the heights are rarely updated when resurfacing occurs.

Ripped a fly bridge off a 36" Broom cruiser many years ago. if that wasn't bad enough, i was transporting it back to the factory for repairs after it was struck by an oil tanker off the coast of Greece. To make matters worse the owner was following behind in a hire car and caught it on his bonnet.

Great story! :D
