living in south africa, i'm fairly familiar with hippos. but imho, the freelander looks more like a tortoise. i'm in no way alluding to the speed of a tortoise, my freelander is fast....

so who has looked in the rear view mirror and seen the tortoise sitting there??? maybe this has been mentioned before, not sure. anyway, to me it's really obvious, can't help spotting it every time i look behind me ....

do you know what i mean, or do i need to take a photo? :hippie:
 
To me it dunt look like a Hippo or a Tortoise - it looks like a 4x4 ;). A pretty one too, especially with the various accessories and big chunky tyres :D.

It do look a bit like a hippo - its them ears! Tortoise I'm not sure!?

deff. a hippo from the front :)

at least the pre-facelift ..

reckon my 2006 looks more like a pouting fish .. or insect ..
sent pic to a friend .. their comment was ' it's a spaceship? ' ..

was tempted to paint the inside of the .. er .. virtual a-bar .. in red ..
after seeing rhodie's leds on the grill ..
now aiming for 'red-v-teeth' grill .. courtesy of strategically placed red leds ;)
