I have some play in the read door of my 110 (1992). Not liking waste I was thinking of trying these rather than replacing all the hinges in their entirety.

Has anyone tried them and do they do what they say on the tin i.e. cure the play?

Thanks

Guess that depends on whether it is the pins or the hinge housing itself that is worn:eek:

For £7 probably worth a try

I HAVE JUST REPLACED MY 1987 90 s FRONT DOORS HINGES, AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT HAS MADE,
Now I'm thinking of changing the rear door hinges, OR perhaps just change these pins ive seen on E Bay,
Question, how would this be done, ie, leave door in situ, and take each hinge off = one at a time, and replace centre pin.
Or remove complete door and then replace pins, then refit door.

Note, apart from a little restriction at bottom of door, all is good, apart from minor slack in hinges Thanks in advance for any advice.

I took my door off and did all three hinges at once, then put back on.

I had an issue with one with the ball being rusted in. Ended up taking grinder to it which loosened it enough.

I fitted a set to my old S111 many years ago, worked well enough.
I seem to recall that one of the old hinges was completely corroded and the pin, ball & bracket were almost as one but I separated them, cleaned & rebuilt the hinge and it all worked perfectly afterwards with no play.

The scary bit is how long ago this was.
I bought the S111 in 1987 and sold it in 1992 (I think) so it is funny how vivid the memory of this silly little task still is. :D

thanks Ive only just ordered my pins, and after only just replacing my front hinges, I feel confident doing the rear door hinges. regards leemarb
