My recently acquired Disco 2 Td5 has already been as source of joy, and disappointment.
After replacing the near side track rod end, the steering is LOADS better - I've never seen one in such a poor state as the one I took off.
When I bought it, there were no horn buttons, so I replaced the steering wheel, for one with audio controls and cruise - complete with the dash switch. Swapped it all over - a surprisingly easy job - plugged it in - audio still worked a treat. But the horns still didn't work, and whilst the light was on, cruise definitely wan't at home.
OK - back to basics - check fuse 16 - that was fine - but that's right next to the relay that's been unplugged - plug it back in - hooray - horn and cruise now working !
My next big ticket has to be getting the SRS light off. I realise it's likely one of 5 things, and I need to check which with a Nanocom (Search is my friend), but I don't have one.
I'm a complete unknown here (Why on earth would you help me?) - and asking favours isn't something I'm good at, so any ideas how I find someone local to BS37 that may be able to help with a nanocom fault code read, and what the etiquette is for asking?
Thanks.
