Becuase they help when I'm driving down a country lane with no street lights??

and also for when the dick in a Merc is coming the other way and he refuses to turn off his full beams :lol:

I drive down lots of country lanes i don't have any problem with the standard lamps, which are more than adequate. Maybe you are going blind. Or have never been blinded by these stupid HID lamps like many of us have. They are a danger to other road users.

Well said Tony, hopefully the new MOT rules will ensure that they cannot be retro fitted:rolleyes:

Here in Portugal they are illegal to retro fit and it will fail in our equivalent of a MOT. Altough I agree that they give much better light, I don't use them out of respect for the other drivers.

The P38 is no racing car, the standard lights are more than adequate for the possible speed on lanes.
HID's are, like tattoo's just a fashion fad. They are obsolete technology in any case, LED headlights are the latest thing:)

It is illegal here to retro fit HID's into standard halogen lenses

But there's no real police crack down on them

The fact is they are a lot brighter and better than halogen lights
If there in correct HID projector lenses then you will not effect other motorists

If you p38 boys tried driving with xenon hid you will never want to go back to halogens ! ;)

Try taking off your shades when you drive at night:p
Just done a long trip in an L322, the lights are so fecking bright that main beam is unnecessary.

Haha

Bet you love the l322 now ah ? Lol

Tell me about it
You don't even need the halogen high beam
The lense flap on the xenon is enough lol

Whilst my HIDs are super white in colour and illuminate well, they only stretch about 20 yards ahead, and then suddenly darkness....where there is illumination - brilliant clarity....but then it is like a brick wall, where the beam pattern ends, nothing but blackness....other than that, brill....
