Hi guys girls just bought a series 3 1973 my first landrover for 35 years I live in Durham and truck is in Essex will be bringing her home next Saturday 25 March driving very slowly over two days wish me luck lol...

Will do if someone tells me how to upload them lol... 90 all the way is that kilometres lol... In all seriousness I'm totally in the dark probably a bit silly for buying a truck I've never seen in the flesh and expecting to drive it 270 miles but the guy is a landrover mechanic and owns several and says it will get me home so my trust is in him

OK thanks for that will do when I pick it up next week.. And will probably be asking for information and help as I do various things that need doing to keep it running and improve it... Can't wait owned one when I was 18 so won't be too shocked at things like braking and wandering steering lol

Hi thanks again guys yes will definitely be putting lots of pictures on when I get landrover home next weekend still haven't decided how yet.. Torn between train down and drive back or hiring a car trailer and using my volvo to bring her home will decide in next couple of days

Simply 'disconnect' something on it then get it towed home on an AA van

Get it up the M1, I've done nearly 900 miles in a defender towing a trailer to Scotland to bring a 2a back. It's an experience I can recommend, never again will you want to go to Alton Towers

Regarding the Q plate the seller a landrover mechanic says it was ex mod.. He say all the chassis no match up with the log book and I've checked with dvla and everything is legal so hopefully it is...
