Carpy... there's a fella goes by the handle of Bulldog up here... he is selling a midland 80 channel for £30, if you're interested let me know and I'll try to get more details.

yea that would be great. would be a good stop gap for the minute - in the summer for the europe trip i will look into a more advanced one but for the minute that would be very useful indeed!

I haven't been up there....yet....No way could I have made it today though - I didn't see much of this morning with a very sore head!

My day at whaddon wasn't very productive. The turbo packed up, I broke the chassiss member under the gear box and the rear diff chewed itself up. The turbo is fixed, my mate is going to do some welding for me next week and I need to source a new diff. Then I can play again. Other than that it was great.

Carpy have you done any damage to you steering arms?

Steering guards and diff guards always a good move. Your trip sounds as productive as my last trip to whaddon jet!!!

well no damage just got a wee bit stuck tho got a clap from some winch challenge boys when i got through where they were trying for 10 mins haha Jai

I drove home from Whaddon under my own power, no damage whatsoever.
It seems to have got a lot tougher, there were motors stuck everywhere.
Jet, Carpy, hope you get fixed up soon.
I drove into the gloop within about 5 minutes of getting there, I just sank up to my headlights, needed Jai to rescue me, but I did return the favour late when he got stuck.
Good fun though.

Laning is on for May Bank Holiday Weekend. Santa Pod & Grafham Water lanes. They're good, can't wait.:D

I still like the drop into the water was a weee bit more of a sheer drop that first anticipated! Being wedged on the spare wheel mount was testiment to how severe the drop was. I can only imagine Spyderman and Carpys face when my front end nose dived into the drink. But all was well and I managed to get through and back again up another bit that was a bit touch and go but we got through it all right. Jai

Nice to see RangieV8 about Whaddon. Myself and Spyderman popped into the Brickhill trial site to find Luke rangie boy getting trailerd home after he broke Jamies CV joint while double driving. OOPs no matter Spitfiremk1uk has sorted them out with a replacement so that will be operational soon we hope. Jai
