Hey Disco01 hope you had fun after you left i had to retire to re attach my wheel the bearings were fubar'ed as was the stub axle. we managed to fit new bearings and get the stub axle good enough to drive home now just waiting for some bits from paddocks. That section no 2 was a bit of a pain especially as most of the vehicles with road tyres could not get past the 10 gate but it was a fun dispite the wheel bearing in just glad it didnt let in when i was shooting up the M1 at 70 that would have been bad

That club are good they are all good guys out for a days enjoyment hope to see you out again soon Jai

the next one will be after xmas t think they are planning on doing it at brickhill which is an awsome site when laid out well my dad even got a trophy and he was loving the event its good when a few of you are competing against one another ill add you and disco02 to the list of people to forward the mails to Jai

Shame your car had to retire early but as you say better than it failing on the way home that would have been bad

Well had hoped to get out over the weekend catch up with a few of you guys and do some lane's, however had a weekend under the bonnet well not a weekend more a few hrs, yep its fu**ed :D . Power strearing pump went friday night whilest out doing a few lanes round Luton, new one ordered should be here tomorrow then just gotta get her on and fit some brake's then im back on the road :D :D .

Did anyone manage to get out round our way.

Chris the PAY and PLAY looks wicked may have to come join you next time you go, when is it next on pics look good mate.
Hi Glen, i think it's on once a month, but i will find out for sure. The site is perfect for your vehilce as the clay makes it a real challange to get round, the only vehicles that do well there are very light cars or vehicles with large tyres to spread the load. You would have a great time there. Landy's on 265/75/16's spend more time stuck than moving and tread pattern makes no differance at all once they fill up with clay. That's not saying if people have got smaller tyres don't go, but just a bit of warning, what you will be letting yourself in for. They have a burger van on site, but once you go down to the lower area on a wet day you may not make it back to the van for the rest of the day, which is also bad as that is the only way back out of the site and you will probably have to get the tracktor to pull you to the top of the hill.

ive still got devils pit clay on my disco from back in may !
nasty stuff!
But i could be interested in doing this thing you lot are on about too

OK... so I drove the disco only to be met with some very serious and nasty sounding noises. Seeing as how this was after the bearing housing was replaced I thought it best to check the front bearing since that might have gone south as well. 3-5 mm play in the prop. OOPS! Drain the xfer box ep90 to find swarf. Not just any swarf but bloody great chunks of metal, some 5-10 mm in length... not to mention a seriously burned load of ep90. Thinking the xfer box might be need a replacement unit... and a casual rebuild of the one that's already in there to teach Kai (and me) how they are constructed.

Looking out for a cheap replacement and just to top off the day Rose says I can't spend any more cash on the landy till I fix the dripping tap in the downstairs bathroom.... Now how the hell do I do that?

See ryder,
You were uming and aring about buying my disco,, you should have while you had the chance,,
considering its been sitting for the last 5 months or so, when i was driving to the MOT place on saturday i was only thinking how nice she was going, will have it back by weekend and its cost me £25 for another 12 months mot and that was only the price for the mot :)

Cant wait to get out with you lot again

ive still got it in my hair:D

KRIS- Ive done more damage to my leg, serves me right for slopping round in the mud...:crutch:
Hi mate, what have done to your leg now? I still havn't got the sj clean yet, had to go to a first aid course on monday and have been stuck in bed with a cold since then. Will probably get back to work tomorrow and sort it out then. Think i'm picking Meanie up later after she drops her car off.

That's how i was when i first saw them on a car in Land Rover Monthly, lucky i got them when i did. Bought mine on ebay for £770 with tyres and powder coated. Scorpian Racing used to supply them but Devon 4x4 has now bought out the company that made them and now sell them at a higher price per rim. Think there about £135 per rim in bare steel.

Rose says I can't spend any more cash on the landy till I fix the dripping tap in the downstairs bathroom.... Now how the hell do I do that?

That's easy enough to do and costs just pennies for a new tap washer. In the alternative call a plumber:eek:

Would show you how but won't be here at the weekend. If it can wait, I'll show ya;)

Hey People,

I'm back on the planet and have internet again. many things have happened inc my uncles rear axle trailing arm falling off at the axle the bracket actually rusted through! G reg Rangie thats quite tidy.
