Hi everyone, had a really good days driving at a pay and play today. Have been there once before and it was really hard work then, even worse now. The whole site is on clay and you end up just fighting for grip most of the time, Hard work but good fun.

The ear looks a bit nasty !!

The more i see them Mach 5 wheels the more i want a job!, i need them with some Huge simex tyres, lol

Where was the pay and play?

It was not far from Pease Pottage, Warninglid. Mach 5's are the dogs, when i first saw them i knew that was what it had to be. Got mine second hand on ebay with tyres, putting larger tyres on when i've got the cash, may not be for a while now just haven't got the money coming in now.

Yeah, now ive just got the disco back on the road i go and lose me job but theres bits i wanna get for it, although redundancy money is coming soon so some of that might end up going on it.

i just wanna get it as high in the air as i can, since i got it ive just had a thing about making it proper high.

I've got a 4 inch suspension lift, 2 inches on springs and 2 inches on spacers. I change all the radius arms as well but if your trying to do it on the cheep the old radius arms will work but the road handling will be crap. I don't like body lifts because it seems like hard work undoing hard to get to rusted in bolts, but each to there own. If you really want to go big, 3 inch suspension kit, 2 inch spacers and 2 inch body lift, fit an arch kit and 37 tyres, lots of money.

I see!

But i see today them tyres are like £800, might have to get the BFG mud terrains instead, lol

Khumo KL71's better than BFG's and half the price. Don't take my word for it. Loads of 4x4 mags are saying the same

Yep,
I remember before i go my insas i was told try the KL71s, wish i did now too as when i went to pick my tyres up there was a set of them there and i thought how good they looked,

Great Pics Kris! Looks like a fun place to be... not sure I would have got much driving though... too sticky for my little tyres!

Took the disco down its first lane in a month. Transfer box started making all manner of nasty noises again. Might be a complete strip out this time, though I am gonna disconnect the front prop and see whether the nasty noises continue first.

I took the dog for a walk down Lilley lane yesterday. The water in the ruts were topped with ice, but the road to Lilley from my house was lethal, the Landy was sliding all over the place. XL's on frozen tarmac are very scary. I'm seriously thinking of putting my winter tyres on, before I kill myself. It'll stop me laning on spec, but if the snow comes, I'll earn a fortune rescueing people.
