Ps if anyone wants to see a taster of what the competitions are like. Come to Brickhill MK early on Sunday the 10th May it's the last event before we head to the Nationals.

The ALRC national event Isnt listed I don't think on Eastnors website as its for members of Association of Land Rover Owners Clubs Alrc only bit membership is only £20 per year and you can attend take part in many great events. I believe members can compete in TYRO and book it on the day. All other events are pre booked except the kiddies bike trial.

Tyro is completely safe non damaging entry level trials for 14yo and above newbies or unlicensed drivers driving land rovers between sticks to see who is the most skilful driver. CCV on the opposite end is roll caged hybrids doing the same but trying to keep the right way up whilst missing canes. Comp safari are motors setup for full speed racing around a 3 mile circuit (this year) seeing who is the fastest.

Alrc have strict regs in vehicle type to keep the playing field level. Some say it's Anal and I would of agreed but having competed in other clubs the lack of continuity means ££££ equals where you come. A std series 2a or 3 could and still do win the Nationals RTV cheap fun for the family

Hopefully, fingers crossed I will have my 200tdi Rangy on test at Brickhill [emoji33] just need to figure out why my headlights don't work, rebuild the light switch and finish bolting it back together ready for the MOT on, hopefully 2nd. It's been a while since CVLRC have had a LWB trialing. Looking forward to using my shunt [emoji12]

Really?? It was supposed to be the best one so far more people more clubs lol!

Then again if I remember previous ones were apparently not great but they put loads of effort this year to make it one of the best. I guess not then!

maybe I wasexpecting too much. There were a fair few clubs in fairness from memory 15 - 20. I was hoping for more trade so I could look at shiny tyres body lifts and winch bumpers and get a general idea of products available

But yeah, for me a waste of money and fuel.

If I'm honest there is very little probably the best place is Peterborough show in the summer. Billing is lots of shiny stuff the traders have to pay a lot to be there but the second hand stuff at both I like trawling through. If we work out dates I'll happily but tickets and shoot up there in the car to Peterborough as I've got some good second hand stuff in the past and a few new bits always like abhor supplies store.

If your about in the 10th May on the Sunday we are at Brickhill welcome to come and watch maybe passenger if you join as a member depending if I get a passenger asking to jump in.

Devils pit comp Safari is ON!! July 19 Rachel's birthday Eek need some browned points.

Got to make a metal bench for the she and some racking for the lock up. Need to fit the wash tank in the shed have a proper clear out I think I have something like 35 half shafts literally a bucket full!

Was planning on building a 4 pin diff up and swapping out the rear 10 spine on my 90 before the Nationals but I'll just carry a pair of shafts and build he 4 pin to sell for some ££ towards an Ashcroft locker. Nice marshalling to be able to be locked up dragging dead non running motors out of porridge.

Got any RRC ones. In fact have you got a 85-94 RRC side/head light switch floating around?

I'm about tomorrow so will have a look. Pretty sure I got a disco switch.

Rangy axles yea various. I got the older rarer type that have the stronger CV's so if you run Ashcroft shafts the stub shaft breaks so nice 5 minute job

Will Look tomorrow I got a pair of mirrors!!

Disco switch on the stalk rangy one like the defender. I got older axle on the V8 but the ccv and 200tdi have new axles

It's the short separate switch don't buy a cheap one I got a cheap fender one and it just smoked the internal rollers and springs were really poor quality

When you say new axle 300 type or really late discoII. If you got 32 spline inner CV's 300's they have really small diameter 32 spline inner shaft to cv compared to older 10 spline inner CV 23 spline. Later inner CV's are almost a backwards step using them on the front but the rear 24 spline is Deffo worthwhile stronger upgrade. Then again unless your laden up or like spin wheels giving it grief most will hold up.

I fitted Kam HD front shafts to my 90 as I picked them up quite cheap. I want a fit and forget soloution so I can give it grief without messing about with front diff a or cv's at a comp. rear I will sort out but a rear half shaft or diff isn't too bad to do if you have to.

Up to 94 so probably 10 spline but they changed the front hubs from 5 bolt to 6 bolt in 1986 or something like that. I know that the swivel kits are different pre post 1986
