Have you seen the latest news at Santa Pod?

29/04/12 BIG BANG HAS BEEN CALLED OFF DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER

Unfortunately no Sunday day ticket holders will be admitted and weekend ticket holders are being asked to leave site as soon as possible.

Due to some of the worst extreme weather we have ever experienced here at Santa Pod, we have taken the decision to apply an Extreme Weather Concession to weekend and Sunday tickets to be used ONLY towards the Big Bang Camper and Bus Show 2013.

Will 40 foot open this year.....? I think not....

I looked at beds council site and they have put a 6 month tro on forty foot lane and donkey lane. Looks like an ongoing tro. Wonder if they will open the other lanes after all this rain.

Right this weekend has been pants!!!!! Fookin weather laying in the mud up to 2pm today I managed to do up 2 nuts n bolts on the 80 inch!!!

But this evening I have mounted the fuel tank and 90% made the fuel tank cover out of ali sheet so hopefully by Friday evening I should have a battery all mounted 100% and the fuel tank mounted 100% all complying with alrc saftey regs. Next:

Mount bucket seats,
Mount steering column,
Finish Roll Cage NS outrigger,
Make OS Roll Cage outrigger,
Make spacer plates for 4 remaining rollcage mounts,
Weld and bolt rollcage in,
Remove engine,
Rebuild different engine,
Replace engine,

Oh the list is Soooo long!!!

True but the list IS getting shorter.... albeit slowly!

I was coming home on sunday when I lost drive pulling away from junction. Luckily it was downhill and there was no traffic, so I managed to coast the last few hundred yards and came to a stop on my own dirveway - probably the most sedate breakdown I've ever had.

Anyway, I've bust the passenger side half shaft. If anyone has a spare 10 spline shaft for a rover rear axle they woudnt mind parting with at the pub meet, let me know. I'll be there but in the Mrs car (again :()

jcuk, I've got a new spare set of rear 10 spline inner, 24 outer if they're of any use. I'd imagine yours are 10/10 though. Is yours not a Salisbury rear?

Cheers, but you're right - mine are 10 / 10 its defiantly a rover axle. I think the sailsbury only became standard on the 109 in the 70s or 80s.
