Progres today:

Well I dug out another 3 slabs to the correct depth for the drive feck all really.

More importantly I have the roll cage from the 80 inch off the mota and will clean it up ready to bolt back onto a comp legal chassis mounts still to be updated.

Colours for the 80 inch required. So Far its gonna be Camel colours and a Black cage.

Possibly making new doors as the ones on it are FUbar'd propperly and if they turn out ok I guess the rear tub isn't looking too nice so we'll see how we go. I need to pick up the rear salisbury from SpitfireMk1uk's house and replace the back weak axle for the salisbury. I am also saving and selling everything to get some dosh together for the front end as its not a easily upgraded strengthened so I have to mix and match a fair bit.

Picked up a D44 Ground Anchor on Fleabay, collected it today. Unused perfect, normally £193, got it for £75.:):):)

D44 Ground Anchor

Just got to buy a bracket and stick it on the front so I can be really pedestrian friendly.

Brickhill is a competition site. Not a greenlane or P&P site. If you are a member of a club you can take part trialling.

Whaddon is a pay and play tho

Hey Glenn,

So you went for Kam in the end sound really good.

Have you done anything with crown wheels/pinion teeth? Pinned or stronger cown wheel/ pinion setup.

Hey mate,

No went with Ashcroft in the end, everything is uprated bar the hubs at the moment. got the locker from Extreme 4x4 and all the other halfshafts crown wheel etc from ashcroft direct. expensive build but hopefully solid lol.

Hows your motor going mate?

getting there mate. Ashcroft shafts diffs ect is top stuff will be going the same way eventually as money allows

bit stuck at the moment the 90 is an all rounder at the moment until i get the trialler sorted then it can go back to being locker'd up and uprated stuff.

they are good, but tend not to work in confined spaces. like all air tools, its a trade-off between air tank capacity and the time it is being used.

Nowt important just a chat I thought Kai wanted a diff checkin'
Yeah he does... second opinion I think... he has taken a diff out and it looks good. He has another that he may strip out but this one is different.... salisbury maybe though he doesnt know for sure how to recognise one (neither do I).

you cant not know the difference salisbury apart from the fact that diff housing is part of axle and its about 3 x times the size as rover diff

very simply - a Rover diff is fitted from the front of the axle and has a welded on rear diff pan.

A Salisbury axle has a bolted on rear pan that is much bigger.

because you can 4.7 as in picture have tall ribs between bolts 3.54s dont flatter, apart from its an early series diff with unboltable seal housing
