I was still going to put a cooker shelf/ housing like that in the back door and have a gas pipe from the bottle to the back door. It should balance the weight better too since i want to fit some shelves/cabinets in the left side of the rear to keep stuff in. Also would only need to be replaced once in a lifetime instead of once a day with those silly little cans that cost a fortune haha

Just a big Cheers to the Surrey lot, Kris and family, Mark and partner, and Pintsize Good weekend had by all! I had a great couple of days. I can't wait for the photos (still miffed I couldn't get the second punch that Kris got) I guess Reverse just isn't good enough!

I hope Mark you got your mota back home ok after the front chassis incident.

I'm well happy that I managed Spydermans propshaft destroyer hill with no rear locker! Even if I did have a few attempts at it jumping the front end in the air! Apparently nobody else managed that section all day except a claim of a challenge truck but no witneses! Top respect for Mark that took his pretty much std serires everywhere it needed to go including on top of a Fooking huge stump!

Cheers guys N girls!

Jai

First off, cheers loads Jai for finding a stop solenoid for me on Sunday so I could carry on playing :D

Mark was well and truly gutted. He hit that trunk big time. A split chassis, not good :( Kris picked up the stricken motor on his recovery truck.

Was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend tho. Is quite a large site, wished we'd got round more of it! The punches that we did were very good. The camping was a larf. Trying not to set fire to ourselves whilst playing charades and eating curry takeaways in the dark!

I only spilt 1/2 an inch of water out of the bowl on the water challenge!!!

Pintsize I think you did better than that I think you spilt half a centimeter and I spilt a centimeter and a half in 1min 27 or sumthin like that! Mark spilt no water at all driving my 90 but he took over 3 minutes I think.

Erm could email them to me if theyre not too big or image shack.com or I dunno how else you could post them mabe in the gallery up top under your name

Really good weekend, big Thanks to everyone that was able to come and join in the fun. Cheers jai for getting that part for Meanie, would have been a shame if she wasn't able to have done the second day. 2 good days of driving for me and nothing broken or damaged, couldn't have been a better weekend, CHEERS.

I'd be wary of mounting the bottle underneath, if it came off while you were on a motorway it would blow your fooking wheels right off, also might be a pains in the ass to connect the regulator...

That looks really good I have to admit. How much did it cost you in all?

The gas bottle would obviously have to be fitted very well and I'd have to make sure the fixings were up to it even when the landy is being bashed around off road a bit... Today I got a load of plywood from b&q and have started to fit a drawer and some boxes between the wheel boxes. Im thinking now I might just try and fit it under the back right quarter window (the tiny one) somehow.. Might make life a load easier and it would be right next to the cooker.

I like the idea of having metal boxes in the back but in the end it just added up to more than I can spend.. perhaps when I've made my first million :p:D:p
