Hi everyone. Can't make it to this one got to work, but will be at the next one for sure been raelly out of touch with things.

Need to pick your brains. The circlip has come out of my drop arm ball joint off roading. It was a brand new britpart arm and balljoint. Does anyone know why or how this could happen. Should the arm come off easier than before. Looking for refund and new arm.

its the taper hole for the pliers that determine which way round circlip is fitted, smallest end to pliers)some circlips are finished both sides,

It's been on for about 3 weeks now. Does seem strange that it held all that time.is it just a crap made part.

Hey Jai, still got your high lift - forgot to bring it back to you. Will drop it round to your nice clear garage floor over the next few days if that's ok!

Erm can't do tomorrow evening as I'll be at my old mans trying to help (get in the way) with building up this 4 pin diff that we have pegged.

Maybe Wednesday eve before the pub weather dependant?

Straight up the floor is clear next step is the bench better have plenty of time as it's completely covered will provide pics at pub meet!

Must say my old man has made some press tools and took my diff carrier down to make it work for my offroader!! Which has saved me loads a dosh and so
Much time well happy!!

Circlips are stamped/punched out and have a sharp edge and a smooth edge

He's learning!

With reference to the ball joint. Another failing is a complete lack of cleaning out the circlip grove to a standard approaching anywhere near enough cleanliness. A correctly fitted circlip will not come out. Installation error is the verdict.

Good luck with your refund!!! LOL.
