So we're going with Sandglow for the body work on the trialer Black cage and cappings!

Soooo much more work to even get it anywhere near moving let alone painting it.

Starting to make a huge list of every small item cross them off when done. Not much is getting done but hey gettnig there slowly. I have an EFI system here from Jamie akaV8disco or should I say Alan so that should replace the SU's but I only ever heared the engine run myself once a few weeks before I got it.

The cage was on the motor and already log booked however it is well out of date. I'm updating the mounts to the latest regs and givig it a clean up. The cage is seriously meaty. It far exceeds the minimum spec diameter for what its needed required. and its Not this CDS Rubbish that will deform. This is Tough!! Thud thid not Ting Ting! if you get me!

Spitfiremk1uk has a tube bender and has built a few cages in his time. but its a weeks work he tells me drive in drive out. One of his cages is on the website. If you see under Competing in our Lr's and Compsafari his cage is on the Rangerover bobtailpickup.

Oh I see lol
Does look good, which is why I asked.

Seriously thinking about a cage, just need the money :-(

Cage wise, Fit a real one yes it encroaches in your load space but its a rollcage it takes preference. IMO a non real one is a bit pointless. Whitbread do a weld in kit for not alot of money tbh.

You just know somone is gonna photoshop that pic of you in longjohns and make them Pink!!!!

That will be you then lol

Some guy was talking to me, to cut a long story short.
I explained why I was in long johns.
His reply was "I did wonder why you were dressed like that but didn't want to say anything"

Cracked me up.
But then got me thinking "how many others thought the same"

Yes it's me stuck AGAIN!!
But just showing the conditions

There has to be a moral to this event, but I am damned if I can think what it might be!

Looks like a lot of fun, and he's still smiling!

Did any of you guys get one of my ropes from Jack?

Eye-splices?

YES and were very handy today

Cheers CharlseY!

I had quite a few and spitfiremk1uk did aswell I think going on 20 to share between us all.

Cheers again great for abusing when towing somone on the road who's not all that great or for leaving in the motor in winter. I have spliced one end but TBH I've been so busy not stopped. If I've not been working I've been at a family thing or stuck in on a landy somwhere. must get the rest if them done one evening.

As far as I know, none of these have ever snapped when used as tow ropes.

I wonder what the breaking strain is?

Whatever, it will be plenty enough to take the front end off most cars!

I hope you all have fun with them. There are more if Jack runs out, and Battenberg is threatening to visit soon, so he could take a heap to Brum.

What tyres are you running? I know its bad there but woulda thought you'd have got around ok.

Running insa turbo dakers!! They were great TBH. But was grounding out!!

Got 265/75R16 at mo but next going for 285 but not sure about side wall either 75 or 85?? Thoughts??

I suspect the ropes will be very very similar to my 24mm Poly rope I believe they are pretty much the one and the same. Circa 12T breaking at a guess theyre great Cheers! CharlesY

Mmmmm! Happily drinking my £4.25 bottle of whyte & mackay... It's a hard life :D

New pc arrives tomorrow hopefully and should see if I can get it my screens calibrated on it and have another look at these photos. Maybe even upload some big splashy bits :D

Tall skinny ones are good for looking at, but shorter fatter ones are better for recreational purposes.

So they say.

Purley on the fact that most trialers use tall and skinny I base my argument but hey ho, horses for corses, swings and roundabouts and all that!

I hate the Septip Tank look with Superwide Rostyle Wheels
