Anyone fancy a 'little' project? Saw a 1967/8 1/2 ton lightweight at CharlesY's he has no time to tinker with. Previous owner fitted a new galv chassis and it has a 2.5TD with overdrive and reinforced gearbox. I think all the brakes are done with a new servo and new leaf springs. Does need a new bulkhead really and a good rub down and paint but would be a nice project for someone. Unfortunately i don't have 2 grand and a trailer lying about

Usually lock them solid give the brake drum a tap all around with a plastic mallet. Double check they're still locked solid and back them off usually a couple of notches on the snail cam(s) and the hub should spin freely.

My 90 had the return springs installed incorrectly when I got it aswell not much spring action to close the shoes up..

I've heard lots of stories about getting things the wrong way round. I realise the shoes are handed and there are lots of different holes to keep you guessing where the return springs go. There was a point where everything was fine and it just seems to have got worse over time so I'm confident that everything is in the right place. I'll take some photos and mark everything before I start to take everything apart.

I still need a winch bitch actually I still need my winch fittin' and the front locker might be too much to get done tomorrow after work aswell.

What time is the Punch event kicking off, Im tempted to jack my work rest in and come and get muddy as someones winch bitch as you say.
Bearing in mind I'm completley green to all this.

shaun if you want your welome to be winch biatch its only a bit of fun anyhow if its owt like last time it'll be towing spydie up a hill he can't drive up!!

Ahh 9am,

I wont be there for that I have to go to Atherstone, Warwickshire to collect a wrap around bull bar after spydermans comments of my lights and indicators getting torn out next time we go laning. Plus I think it'll make the Disco look a bit meaner.
